Scott St. Cyr - Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Polarity Practitioner
Mr. St. Cyr founded étant in 1998 with the sole vision of creating an oasis for healing and wellness. Scott is a graduate of the Polarity Realization Institute in Ipswich Massachusetts where he is a graduate of both the Holistic Massage Program and the Polarity Practitioner Program. He went on to become an instructor at PRI where he was able to teach students the massage and polarity work that he enjoys so much. The focus of Scott's work continues to be the healing art of balance. He strives to create balance for his clients through his massage and polarity skills. Scott is licensed by the state of Massachusetts, a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and is nationally certified by the NCBTMB. Scott holds a degree from Westfield State College which was granted in 1984.
Stacy Koeppel – Spa Director
Serving as étant's Spa Director since November 2015, Stacy’s goal is to ensure that each and every client leaves étant feeling welcomed, pampered, and rejuvenated. She plays an integral role in cultivating and maintaining a high level of excellence in all areas of the spa. Stacy has strong communications skills geared to both internal leadership and providing outstanding customer service. She resides in the South End with her husband and two sons and is very involved in the South End Community.
Jeanne Olivier - Chief Greeter and People Mover (Front Desk Manager)
Ms. Olivier has been running the front of our etant home for the past 15 plus years. Jeanne runs all aspects of the front of our space including retail ordering, marketing and sales; staff movement; client scheduling and most important… making our guests feel extraordinary. She is more than just a pretty face though. She is also a trained polarity therapist and RYSE© practitioner. She received her training from the Polarity Realization Institute in Ipswich, MA, completing a 650 Hour Polarity Certificate Program and RYSE© Practitioner Level 2. She also completed Reiki I and II certifications. She has furthered her education with several workshops including: Bach Flower Essences in 2002, Cranio-Sacral Therapy I from the Upledger Institute in 2003, and Acutonics Sound Healing Levels I and II in 2007. Jeanne is a member of the American Polarity Therapy Association and American Bodywork and Massage Professionals. Of her work, Jeanne says: "etant is welcoming, supportive and fun. Keelon Andrews - Licensed Massage Therapist
Keelon graduated from Lincoln Technical Institute's Massage Therapy program in 2011. While there he studied various massage modalities including Sports Massage, Swedish relaxation, Deep Tissue, Pre and Post Natal, Reflexology and more. Keelon's skills have been honed over the years as he diligently worked to provide much needed clinical and relaxing treatments to his clients. Keelon is a spiritual person, and takes the time to listen to the information given him by his clients. Keelon will tailor his approach to your individual needs and concerns, translating them into a beautiful treatment.
Kayla Ekstrom - Licensed Massage Therapist
Kayla is a graduate of the Massage School in Easthampton, MA. Her training includes Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Pre and Post Natal, Aroma Therapy and Reiki. Passionate about her work, she stays enrolled in classes to give clients the best treatment that is customized to their specific needs. Her focus is creating a space that is relaxing, nurturing and stress-free. Kayla believes that Massage Therapy is a wonderful asset in Wellness and becoming mindful of the bodies needs.
John Koran - Licensed Massage Therapist
John is a 2005 graduate of The Salter School in Malden, where he is presently on staff as a Massage Therapy Instructor. His massage treatments incorporate Swedish Massage with deep tissue manual therapy, Trigger Point Therapy, Myofascial Release, Pre and Post Natal and assisted passive stretching. John specializes in working with the elderly and with athletes. He believes, through Massage Therapy people can lead lives with less pain and lessen their chances of injuring themselves. John loves hearing his clients say they feel better and more relaxed after their treatments. His clients have told him that through his work, they have been able to lead more active lives with less pain and less stress. In addition to his Massage Therapy training, John has a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
Keith Maddy - Licensed Massage Therapist
Keith is a graduate of the Cortiva Institute of Massage Therapy and a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Trained in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pre and Post Natal and Myofascial massage, with a strong foundation in anatomy and physiology, Keith has a seasoned technique seamlessly blending his training, experience and intuitive sense of touch to meet the needs of a diverse clientele. Volunteering at Hebrew Rehabilitation Recuperative Services Unit and completing an Oncology Massage internship at Boston Medical Center in 2012 further realized Keith's compassionate & centered belief in the soothing, healing and beneficial power of touch. Keith's other passions include outdoor swimming and art. He holds a BFA from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and has been a working artist in the New England area for over 15 years.
Benson Wu - Licensed Massage Therapist
Benson is the newest therapist at etant, and comes to us with years of experience. He focuses on providing an integrated massage for his clients using Deep Tissue and Swedish massage; incorporating physical, mental, and spiritual elements to support a holistic mind-body approach to wellness. Benson studied Tui-Na courses in South China medical school. He also practiced for two years in Dr Jin Qiu's clinic in Hong Kong. Benson graduated from the The Salter School in Malden MA. His philosophy on healing is to use an integrative massage style, helping people to relax and promote healing. Benson has also studied Thai massage, Reflexology, Pre-natal massage, Myofascial Release Therapy, Chinese Traditional Massage and is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
Christopher Atwood - Certified and Licensed Massage Therapist
Mr. Atwood received his training from the Massage Institute of New England in Somerville, MA, completing a 1000 hour Massage Therapist program in November 1996. Christopher is licensed by the State of Massachusetts, is a member of the International Massage Association and is a devoted supporter of the Holistic Program at the Boston Living Center, volunteering one morning a week offering massage to BLC members. He also holds a degree from Tulane University, New Orleans, LA. Christopher's non-massage interests include playing softball with the Beantown Softball League.
Ryan Nevel - Licensed Massage Therapist
Ryan is a graduate of one of the premier massage schools in America, The Cortiva Institute, where he was trained in various massage techniques ranging from Swedish Massage, Sports Massage, Pre and Post Natal and Myofascial work, to Hot Stone Massage, Aqua therapy and Craniosacral Therapy. He also trained with nationally recognized massage pioneer, Tracy Walton, who's instruction gained him certification in Oncology Massage; working with patient's who have cancer is one of his major passions. Ryan is known for his calm and tranquil demeanor, his sense of humor and his ability to make his clients and friends feel comfortable and supported. Many clients have reported a combination of feeling incredibly relaxed and refreshed yet filled with productive, positive energy after his massage. Ryan has excellent communication skills, often praised for his ability to know when to "check in" during a session and how to be accommodating to client needs while at the same time keeping professional and conscientious of what types of techniques are truly beneficial.
Fatima R. Guevara - Licensed Massage Therapist
Fatima's style of massage is both artful and therapeutic. Fatima was awarded "Best Massage Therapist in Boston" by Allure magazine, October 2012. Fatima is a 2009 graduate of the Cortiva Institute School of Massage Therapy in Watertown, MA. She is fluent in Swedish Relaxation, Deep Tissue, Sports Massage, Injury Relief, Reflexology, Pre and Post Natal, Aromatherapy, Trigger Point, and Myofacial Release Massage Therapies. Fatima firmly believes in the value of client centered care and continually provides a safe, nurturing, healing space for each of her clients to fully relax and restore. She is licensed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
Brenda McCarthy - Licensed Massage Therapist
Brenda is a graduate of the Massage Institute of New England in Somerville, MA. She is also a member of the American Massage Therapy Association. Her training encompasses Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Sports, Hot Stone, Pre and Post Natal and Assisted Passive Stretching. Brenda attended North Shore Community College in Danvers MA where she studied anatomy, kinesiology and therapeutic exercise. She adapts her massage treatments according to each of her client's unique needs, physical characteristics and personality in order to promote deep relaxation and release of tensions. Clients often comment that Brenda is always grounded and present. In her spare time, she enjoys swimming and yoga.
Yelena Nevel - Licensed Esthetician
Yelena began her career in esthetics in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Avenue Five Institute Esthetics program and moved to Boston two years ago. She enjoys working with people and building relationships while helping them on a journey to healthy and glowing skin. Yelena prides herself on striving to make your waxing experience as pleasant and least painful as possible. She believes her facial massage is her star moment of every facial. She thoroughly enjoys the analysis process and figuring out the best way for you to achieve your skin care goals. Esthetics is truly her love and passion.
Bernadette McNeill - Licensed Esthetician
Ms. McNeill is an Esthetician specializing in facials and waxing. She is also very proud of her work as a reconstructive makeup artist. In practice for twelve years, she received her training from the Elizabeth Grady School of Esthetics in Boston. Bernadette is licensed as an Esthetician by the State of Massachusetts, and is a member of the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals. Bernadette also holds an Art Degree from Westfield State College, which was granted in 1984. Dedicated to providing the highest quality skin care for her clients, Bernadette blends a wealth of experience with an ongoing search for the best new products and techniques to heighten the quality of services provided by étant to each consumer.
Dina Kesaris - Licensed Esthetician
Ms. Kesaris believes in using the most up to date products and continually expands her knowledge base to bring to étant and her clients the very best skin care expertise. She is a graduate of Catherine Hinds School of Esthetics Spa Therapy Program. Her specialty is customized skin care and waxing. Dina's additional training in reflexology, specialty body treatments and age management facials round out her experience to make sure that her clients have a truly wonderful spa experience. Dina holds a Management degree from Katherine Gibbs.
Flyura Bernstein - Licensed Acupuncturist
Ms. Flyura Bernstein is a Licensed Acupuncturist. She is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture with a master degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Flyura is licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Medicine. Flyura is also a Diplomate in Acupuncture of The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She holds a Masters degree from the Polytechnic Institute (former Soviet Union). She continues to broaden her knowledge of Chinese Medicine through continuing education.
